my manilacentric life's amazing yet lonely....i had fun with the people i met and shared interest with...i enjoyed training and watching live productions in abscbn, working out at the gym, earning in my business (TBC), and exploring UP diliman... still, i feel lonely because i don't see my family everytime i go home, i don't eat popcorn with my sisters every weekend's movie marathon, and i won't be able to kiss my mom every 'peace be with you' during Sunday masses. i'm used to being very dependent and socially-inclined with my friends... i can't even walk alone..but in manila, i had this very painful and hard adjustment but with courage, i survived and learned lots of lessons i can use in the future...i'm happy but still i feel incomplete whenever i'm away from my family... now, it's sembreak!!!! and i'm havin fun here in cebu.. wheeeee!!!

ice cream and cotton candy

Everything was just a self-crazed imagination, a field of dreams where I turn to when my sanity escapes for a night-out. I was a dreamer of a glistening future with an affinity for the limelight but I was just a kid then. The world was too big for me.
There were so many magic I wanted to achieve ever since I was a little girl. I even kept a diary I named “My Future” where I jot down the things I will accomplish, my wildest fantasies and deepest wishes. “I will visit the dramatic cliffs and quiet fields of Ireland. I will drive my own bike. I will have a great job with a big salary, enough to provide me gallons of ice cream and cotton candies.” This diary became my source of strength whenever I feel like giving up. It also carried lines from books and novels I read. It influenced me that I began to speak like some frivolous romantic author and my classmates would helplessly laugh.
Part of my fondest dreams was to be tagged as a certified UP student, an iskolar ng bayan. So, I started to live my fantasies and with hedonistic courage, took the UP College Admission test. It was, for me, a bloody struggle and five hour of sitting in hell. I never expected anything after. I lost faith in my dreams.
Seven months of depression ended and I was flabbergasted when I knew I passed the exam and now, an official UPian. Aside from having a low tuition fee, I get to meet socially and politically-inclined people, those who live their lives in a petri dish, all-out activists and enigmatic artsy students, a whole new experience for me. I thought it would be an easy start but I felt like the dumbest person when I entered the school. Everyone was so smart and the professors taught like they already expect us to know the answers. I can attest to their high quality of subsidized education. But I finally got tired of being a coward to conquer the classroom so I started to read a lot and participated in orals. And God was it great and fulfilling! I became aware of the problems of the economy and the science behind our social relationships with people but still never forgets to enjoy the tempura and camote fries of Manang Lisa.
It was a head-on start and everything fell into place. I was never able to visit Ireland but I witnessed the dramatic cliffs and cool breeze of our very own Baguio. I owned a bike and drove it for 3 years then sold it to face the real road of big scary buses and naughty jeepney drivers. And the great job? Yes, I became and still am the SK Chairman of Tangbo, Samboan and gets a monthly allotment enough for my ice cream madness. Also, I sometimes write in dailies to earn for my cotton candies. “My Future” is already turning into “My Life” and it’s the daily journal I write as Sir Ian Manticajon’s requirement for our Journalism class but unconsciously, a blessing in disguise.
Whisper your dream to the world and work for it. Believe in possibility of the impossible and your fantasies will slowly gleam right before you. Like what happened to mine.

happy new year...an end to the mistakes we committed the past year and a bLissful beginning for waking up in a clean sheet... oh, i dont even know what im blabbing here..im insane..ooops! sanity is overrated.. as the tradition goes, here's my new year's resolution:

- try to be notoriously frugal (god knows, how blood went up to my mom's brain for the damage i caused in my credit card..but im forgiven!!!)
- concentrate on my academic life and have the drive and goal...
- stop being a scapegoat..its not doin any good!
- stop dealing with jaundiced pea-brain assholes!
- have a balanced diet (avoid junkfoods and soft drinks and men...hahaha!)
- be the real me... (now, thats dangerous! hehe..)

whew! this thing is driving me to incoherence... gotta sleep now! gudnyt!
